Reporting: Who is the guilty one?



Watch the following video. 

1. What is the dad asking the  boys?
2. What's the reaction of the boys? Summarize the words of the older and younger brothers
3. What is the older brother trying to do?
4. Can you write down a summary of the whole scene using reported speech and appropriate reporting verbs.

The father advised the boys that they were going to be punished without juice.
The old brother accused the younger one of painting the house.
The younger brother agreed with the older one with whatever he said.
The boys confirmed that they were in trouble for painting the house.
The boys complained that they were punished without juice.

The father asked them if they thought that what they had done was good.
The older brother denied everything his father asked him.
He also accused his younger brother to have done everything.
The father grounded them without juice that night.
At first they didn't accept their punishment, but later on they did.
The little brother agreed with everything his older brother said.
The father ordered them to clean the mess.
